Common name- laughing kookaburra or laughing jackass. Australia's happiest bird.
VOICE- Raucous 'laughter'
Habitat- open forest, woodlands and paperbark swamps.
This is a female (I think) because it has no blue on it's rump. I took this photo a couple of weeks ago up at Lamington National Park.

Even garden weeds look nice taken at the right angle. And to think that I usually just rip them out.
