PINK RIBBON RIDE

The annual pink ribbon ride to raise funds for breast cancer was held today. They rode out to the bearded dragon hotel out near Tamborine Mountain.
Some of the girls and guys from work participated so I went to take some photosMet at Logan Hospital and then headed of to register and ride.

There were heaps of people that dressed up.

I didn't get to hear what the estimate of how many attended but there was so many bikes. This is only a small selection of them.

Lots of bikes with great paint jobs.

Chives flower
I companion plant this with my roses as it is meant to ward off all those nasty bugs. You know the ones that I have been taking photos of on my roses. Only realised what a pretty flower it has.

MOTH

This moth was in the garden and I didn't realise how a moths face actually looks until I down loaded the pic. Macro really is amazing.
(and at least it is not 2 flies, isn't that right shellor).

MORNINGS


Yesterday just before I left for work 4 balloons came over, but as it was a dismal overcast day the photos came out just like the day. So this am, I jumped out of bed and drove down to Jimboomba in anticipation of balloons leaving from the school oval.(obviously had yesterday) No, oh well decided to buy the paper (too early not open). Got home, watered some very dry plants. Checked the time 0700, came back out just in time to hear balloon out over the valley.
Wrong 4 balloons.

Again no good shots. But it did look pretty spectacular. So took a pic of the cows in the valley, bouganvillea at the front gate,

and the hibiscus that flowered despite there being no sunshineNow I just hope it rains.

Flower Spider


The Flower Spider does not spin a web. It hides on a flower or leaf, and is well camouflaged to seize a visiting insect. They come in a variety of colours, and this one is quite pretty compared to the knobbly brown one.

Morning If you have noticed a change in the set up of this blog, the explanation is simple! I decided to experiment (trying for larger photos) and pressed the wrong button. Result lost all previous alterations/add ons etc. Lots of work trying to correct mistake in fact impossible. The only consulation is you can now click on any photo to get a full size view.

Late in the evening and I went to take photos of Kangaroos, that were grazing at the bottom of next doors garden, when I noticed the butterfly.
